Over time, your concrete starts to collect mould, grime, dirt and become particularly unsightly and your home can lose it’s curb appeal.
Concrete sealing can restore your concrete back to looking nice by firstly pressure cleaning all that dirt, grime and mould off the concrete and then applying a sealer immediately after its been pressure cleaned.
The benefit of having the concrete sealed immediately after cleaning, is the overall time you need to wait before being able to use the area again.
Depending on the area being sealed, if it doesn’t get too much traffic, for example a path, you begin walking on it within hours of the sealer being applied. If for example we seal your driveway, you are able to drive you car on the driveway within just 72 hours.
Concrete is a very porous material, susceptible to all kinds of staining and marking. Oil, grease and rust are nearly impossible to remove because they are so easily absorbed. Unsealed concrete retains water for long periods, creating and ideal situation for mould and mildew to grow.
Concrete is one of the most-popular surfaces in the world and it is used in a countless number of applications. From concrete floors and pool decks to driveways and sidewalks, you can’t go far without encountering something that is made from concrete.
While there are plenty of great properties that concrete brings to any project, its tendency to absorb moisture and to allow mould and mildew to develop is something that you would probably like to fix.
The best way to reduce the growth of mould and mildew in concrete is to not allow water to enter the concrete in the first place and that is exactly what our concrete sealing will do for you.

Of course, there is already a well-known method of cleaning concrete surfaces that have become coated in mould and mildew. It’s called pressure cleaning, or power washing and it is one of the most-frustrating and time-consuming maintenance tasks around for our commercial clients as well as our residential clients. Anyone who has worked to clean a concrete surface using a power washer or pressure cleaner knows just how difficult it can be. Not only is power washing a difficult chore to complete, but it is also only a temporary solution. You may be able to blast the mould and mildew off the surface of the concrete for now, but it will certainly be coming back in a short period of time.
In most cases, concrete sealing is re-applied after 2 years. Timeframe can very depending on traffic to the area, but in most cases such as a driveway or patio every 2 years is common. We don’t want the concrete to be totally un protected before we come back to seal as you then run the risk of staining the unsealed concrete.
Concrete sealing costs will vary depending on square meterage of the job. We also need to take into consideration on whether it is new concrete or old concrete that requires sealing. In most cases a new concrete slab will require acid washing which helps in opening up of the pours in the concrete and allows the sealer to better penetrate. Acid washing is slightly dearer but we can discuss all your option during our free no obligation site inspection.
You can use the driveway to park your car after 72 hours of the concrete sealing application.
